An alloy of copper and pewter, this jewel was crafted in bronze in our small workshop in the Vosges. There, we imagined and sculpted the motif for this piece, before casting it to reproduce it. Cadmium- and nickel-free, the metal paste used in our manufacturing process is concocted from recycled bronze powder to which an organic binder has been added. After two high-temperature firings, the result is a pure metal jewel of great solidity.
The metal paste technique originated in Japan in the 1990s. By mixing metal particles with an organic binder, a homogeneous, malleable mixture is obtained. In a first firing at 400°C, the binder is burned off and evaporates. Then, in a second firing at over 800°C, the metal particles fuse together to form a pure metal. This method combines contemporary knowledge with traditional jewelry-making techniques to create exceptional, long-lasting pieces.
Care instructions: To ensure that your unique piece of jewelry lasts over time and to avoid the appearance of stains, we recommend that you avoid prolonged contact with water. Should this happen, we recommend that you dry it immediately. Bronze develops a natural patina over time. If you wish to restore its shine, rub it with the wipe provided. This jewel will be delivered in a recycled and recyclable paper pouch to protect it while taking care of the environment. All our jewelry is handmade in France, in our Vosges workshop. Variations may therefore occur from one piece to the next, making each one unique.
